McKell Park and Chiswick Woollahra
Maddy and Dean had originally dreamed of a wedding in Portugal, but in the end, they opted for something more intimate and closer to home. With just 36 guests, they got married at McKell Park, surrounded by harbour views and the soft colours of spring—orange, blue, yellow and pink florals brought a light, joyful feel to the ceremony. It was a quiet weekday wedding on a Thursday, and the moment we captured in the painting was right after their first kiss, when they smiled at each other and held each other close.
The reception took place at Chiswick Woollahra, a garden-style restaurant that suited their relaxed and elegant vibe. With good food, warm company, and a view of the harbour to wrap it all up, their day felt thoughtful and intentional. It was a lovely reminder that small weddings can be just as big in meaning.
